【通知】首届“中国人权青年论坛”征文启事

  2019年是中华人民共和国成立七十周年,当此重要历史时刻,有必要回顾梳理新中国人权发展的道路和成就。为此,中国政法大学人权研究院(国家人权教育与培训基地、国家高端智库建设培育单位)创办“中国人权青年论坛”(以下简称“论坛”),旨在促成中国人权研究的学术流派和话语体系,发展中国人权研究的青年共同体和生力军。首届论坛以“新中国七十年的人权发展”为主题,拟定于2019年3月下旬在北京举办。

  论坛主题

  首届论坛以“新中国七十年的人权发展”为主题,征文方向包括但不限于:

  (1)中国人权发展的道路和特色;

  (2)中国人权发展的本土经验和世界意义;

  (3)中国人权话语的形成和发展;

  (4)国家人权机构比较研究;

  (5)新型人权的证成与保障;

  (6)人权研究的基本范畴和方法;

  (7)中国推动国际人权治理的理念及实践。

  投稿指南

  投稿作者需为40岁以下的青年学者和学生。符合年龄要求的在校研究生与其导师合作完成的论文,亦可投稿。投稿论文须为近期完成的原创学术论文(无论发表与否均可),符合学术规范,字数不少于8000字,鼓励言之有物的长文。

  论坛欢迎英文投稿,并拟在论坛中设立专门的英文发言、评议和讨论环节。论文电子版(word版本)请投稿至youthhr@cupl.edu.cn,截稿日期为2019年2月20日。

  论文评审

  主办方将邀请相关领域的权威学者对投稿论文进行审读,评出一等奖论文2篇,二等奖论文5篇,三等奖论文10篇,由主办单位颁发证书和稿费(奖金)。其他入选的会议论文,也将给予稿费。

  获奖论文可推荐至《人权》、The Journal of Human Right、Chinese Perspectives on Human Rights and Good Governance等中英文人权期刊(集刊)发表。论文获奖者将优先受聘为“国家高端人权智库”特约研究员,其专著优先纳入“人权文库”获得出版机会,并有机会获得资助赴国外人权研究机构和国际组织访学。

Call for Papers: China Young Scholars Forum on Human Rights
 

The year 2019 marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the People’s Republic of China. During this historical moment, it is of great value to look back at the progress along the development path of China’s human rights. China Young Scholars Forum on Human Rights is organized by the Institute for Human Rights of China University of Political Science and Law, which is a National Base for Human Rights Education and Training and is fostered as a National High-end Think Tank. The Forum aims at promoting human rights studies in China, building Chinese human rights discourse, and providing a platform for young human rights scholars and students to exchange ideas and share their research. The first China Young Scholars Forum on Human Rights is expected to take place in March, 2019 in Beijing.
 

Ⅰ. Theme of the Forum

The theme of the first China Young Scholars Forum on Human Rights is “Seventy Years of Progress in China’s Human Rights”. The Forum invites paper submissions related to, but not limited to the following topics: (1) China’s human rights experience and its significance to the world; (2) The path of China’s human rights development and its characteristics; (3) Developing and building Chinese human rights discourse; (4) Comparative studies of national human rights institutions; (5) Protection and justification of the new human rights; (6) Scope and methods of human rights research; (7) Ideas and practice of China promoting global human rights governance. 
 

Ⅱ. Paper Submission

Young scholars and students below the age of 40 are welcomed to submit their original academic papers (minimum 8000 words). Papers that are co-authored or have been published will also be considered. Papers may be submitted in Chinese or English. The submission deadline is 20, February 2019.

Ⅲ. Review of the Paper

The papers will be reviewed and judged by well-known scholars in the field of human rights. Seventeen papers will be selected as outstanding papers, including 2 first-place awards, 5 second-place awards, and 10 third-place awards. Financial prizes and certificates will be provided by the host of the Forum.

The outstanding papers will be recommended for publication in Ren Quan, The Journal of Human Rights, Chinese Perspectives on Human Rights and Good Governance and other journals in Chinese or English. Authors of the outstanding papers will be given priority consideration for: positions of National High-end Think Tank’s adjunct researcher; publication opportunities if their work is accepted by and included in the Human Rights Series; funding for visits to human rights institutions and organizations abroad.

Ⅴ. Expenses

No forum registration fees will be charged. The host of the Forum will cover the expenses of forum materials and accommodation for participants. The host will also cover the round trip travel expenses (limited to hard sleepers and second-class seats on train or economy class seats on plane) for authors of the outstanding papers.
